Absolutely Hysterical at times, but also rather poignant in others. As I read through, I laughed, cringed, was embarrassed and sometimes wondered if people really said some of these things aloud. And then I remembered, these were actually spoken, aloud, to another human being. I can only imagine what Tim John Peterson thought when some of these things were said.
It's one thing to think vulgar things while alone or to share with your closest friends, but it's quite another to be confronted with a collection of men's quotes in one volume. I laughed, I paused, I felt surprised and uneasy... just as I feel when I record, in real life, similar things heard from other men. The book could easily be excused as adolescent and frat-boy-free-association; but under closer examination, the book reveals an underlying truth and language that links most men together in brotherhood.
